That NFL prospect comment, though... I don’t know, man. Obviously it’s their job to try and keep him from getting injured whether he’s an NFL prospect or not, so I can’t agree there. It’s just smart football to try and keep your stars healthy.
The thing about running the QB up the middle is that teams that sell out on their edge rush, like JMU, get murderated by a QB like Trey. And JMU got gutted like a big dumb fish.

So I was going to say that I have no problem with Trey running a lot since he is such a natural... but the I saw that he ran 10 times a game. That's a bit much - although who knows how many were called. 4 or 5 called QB runs a game sounds about right.

I agree for the most part, but you can attack the edge and the middle with runners other than your QB. But you’re right, with a talent like Trey, 4-5 sounds right.

The NFL game has changed to now support much more mobile and rushing QB's. Trey's game will fit right in. Team's will need to dedicate a spy to stop him, which will open up bigger throwing lanes, particularly on the edges.
    Insert something clever here...

Just rewatched Montana playoff game. First TD... Stick between the tackles to the house for 50 yards. Beautiful!

I hope he can end up in Minnesota. Draft him middle to end of round 1 and give him a year to sit and learn then take over.

Vikings will never draft a NDSU player. Lot will depend on his performance in the NDSU vs Ducks game.
