Yeah, with as eye popping of numbers as both teams have you could spin things in either's favor very easily. Like this for instance...

JMU has played one team this year that is ranked in the top 25 of the FCS in defensive pass efficiency. That was St Francis who ranks 8th in defensive pass efficiency at 112.93. St Francis also plays in the partial scholly NEC. NDSU is ranked #1 in the FCS in defensive pass efficiency at 102.22. As for JMU's running game... it's good averaging 5.05 yards per carry but NDSU has played 3 teams this year who had better averages in Montana St (5.68), SDSU (5.37), and SIU (5.14).

I love stats like this. I'm not saying they tell a super deep story but they provide a little more insight than simply stating one team is ranked higher than the other. I've said it before, it's very difficult to look at rankings of teams that play no common opponents(or basically none) and judge how they compare to each other. In general the overall stats do say that these two teams are very good. How good they are compared to one another is hard to tell from stats. And that's why we play the game

And I see it as far more likely that the Bison hang 30+ on them than they put up 20 on Code Green. This ain’t 2016 - we’ve got all our guys. Josh Hayes - you hear me right?

Our offense is better than 2016 or 2017. The only way we score less than 20 points is if we shoot ourselves in our own feet or if JMU plays their Superbowl.
