That being said, I really hope Hayes can play! I assume Bridges will be on Polk, forcing our 2nd corner on Stapleton.

Overall the stats are pretty much a wash in terms of points and yards differential between the two. The only places they really diverge from each other all that much is that JMU has a better run defense and NDSU has a better pass defense. Although it is worth noting that NDSU averages a full yard more per play offensively than JMU does.

Of course, this isn't a sure thing, but it does lead me to be concerned that there is a good chance that NDSU is truly a slight dog.
Plus when Sam Herder/Mcfooly talk about the 5 dimes spread.. they are so clueless. 5 dimes has a max bet of ONLY $100 on the FCS game and their Spread ONLY takes into account bets into 5dimes.com. so its NOT a true spread. some JMU dork could put 10 $100 bets on the game and it would move the point. whereas in Vegas Casinos, it takes a lot more to move it.

Did NDSU opponents have better rushing attacks compared to JMUs schedule?

I believe the answer is yes and this was fleshed out somewhere. JMU faced better passing offenses. Makes sense given the stats.

Interesting to see all of this. Now, how about an overall rating of opponents of some sort, as in Sagarin and or Massey?

According to Sagarin, NDSU has the 152nd highest SOS and JMU with 160. Mind you, JMU has a FBS game too.

Yes. Average opponent ranking (using rush yards per game) for NDSU's opponents was 55.2. Average opponent ranking for JMU was 66.1. That doesn't include West Virginia although they were ranked 128th out of 130 FBS teams in rushing yards per game so they probably wouldn't help it all that much anyway.

Sagarin has NDSU with a SOS ranking of 152 and JMU with a SOS ranking of 160 (that's an all D1 ranking). Massey has NDSU with an SOS ranking of 144 and JMU with an SOS ranking of 140. So the schedules were pretty comparable as well (JMU's SOS does get a nice bump from West Virginia I'm sure though).
