Maybe I’m overly optimistic but I think the only way we lose is if we make some bonehead plays. If we open up the offense I don’t see their Dbacks holding up to the test.
I think you're overly optimistic. I think we'll win, but no way will it be a cakewalk. This will be a hard fought game with either team having their chances to win. Any given Saturday, I think either team could win. Even if I think that NDSU would probably win 7 out of 10.

I never said it’s a cakewalk, but if we play clean football I don’t see us losing. Their dbacks are their biggest weakness and our wideouts+lance are our biggest strength. That bodes well for us

I wouldn't agree that it's the offense's biggest strength but I would agree that they're better equipped to burn teams through the air than they ever have been before. JMU is likely to take the same approach every other team does and that's the "we need to stop/contain the run first" approach. The NDSU offense is more than capable of using that against a defense and burning them through the air. It's not the worst thing in the world to use the pass to set up the run instead of vice versa... breaking those kinds of tendencies are the types of things that could give them a leg up against an evenly matched team like JMU.

This game will be decided by which QB has the hot hand.

TR had better be ready to get the playbook wide open.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

It will come down to EVERYTHING. Both teams are so good right now. Execution, who makes that key play, play calling, all of it will matter. When it's over we will be able to point to 3 or 4 key plays that made the difference. JMU has the best offense we've seen, and ours will be the best they've seen. Their defense is very athletic and physical and so is ours. Nobody can afford to make more than one or two mistakes. I'm anxious and I can't wait. I see absolutely no weakness in JMU including in their DB's right now. Teams just throw on them more when they can't run the ball. There are a lot of hidden details in the stats that can be deciphered. For example in red zone,stats...how many TDs vs field goals do you give up, or in things like scoring defense
..was it the first team or the second team...in the end it all comes down to putting players in a position to win and to how many of the players do their 1/11th perfectly, how often, on both sides of the ball

As our linebackers go so goes the game. Cannot be wrapping up air.

Agreed, and need to contain Snidely.

Also, I don’t think Tray’s reverse pivot escape is gonna work. He will need to step up through the seams of JMU’s rushing attack to give himself some time and or opportunity for run option.

JMU’s Dends rush fast and pretty tight to keep opposing QB contained and in pocket. Tray has to be able to step up and out of that scheme. Think Drew Brees or Wentz (not Cousins’ 15-yard nail out to the “south”).

And they need to get to the play before they get engaged by blockers. We struggle getting off blocks.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.
