    Many primary state universities have high acceptance rates. But not all. Here is a random sampling.

    Michigan 29%
    Alabama 53%
    Purdue 56%
    Texas 40%
    Arizona State 83%
    UCLA 18%
    Montana 92%
    UND 84%
    Colorado 77%
    Ole Miss 78%
    Kentucky 91%

    So does UVA, that’s one reason for the lower enrollment...over the years, they’ve reduced the portion of their budget that comes from the state significantly, and have considered privatization....
