Better not go to the awards ceremony then. That's the irony in the whole "clean up streamers" thing. Uh...the cleaning crew is guaranteed to have to clean up glitter because it's a national championship game haha.

    Contradictory....sure. But not ironic.

Easy to say it standing here now, but that sounds a bit irrational. Your tradition brings enough talent that predominantly freshman and sophomore would never have a 6 put even 7 win season.

Would it be ironic to take streamers to Frisco but not get to use them?

Yeah, we’ve seen those before. What is the infatuation with littering all about?

What, the hocus pocus where somehow excluding certain expenses like debt service from the athlete department budget magically allows you to also pay 100% of those excluded costs with student fees also now excluded from the athletic department income statement and presto the students are only paying for 58% of the athletic department budget?

Yeah, we wish we could engage in that sort of creative accounting, but unfortunately our athletic department doesn't carry any debt let alone pawn it off on the students.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

No, I think that article pretty much covers it...you grew beyond your funding base, so everything you couldn’t afford got dumped on your students...

You are right, they are gullible.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
