Well Weber has some. They almost knocked off the Dukes back in '17 in the quarters I think. I will be interested to see if they can finish the job this time around.

They didn’t have much last night...

Nor did Montana. I think those conditions may have played a role in that no?

Agreed. I think their guidance on something like that is to just let it go since the result is the same either way. The only difference is statistical and clock status (start on snap it ready for play) but it was a point in the game where the clock isn't a factor. But those who desire officials to be precise have to live with that. Once it went to replay they needed to do that. The better option would have probably been to not stop for a review.

Sneed had a lot of turnovers. Otherwise, Montana could have won. Conditions were bad, but the offense was still pathetic. Weber State isn’t exactly known for their offense and you have to have a moderate passing game to beat JMU.

Defense ruled last night in these three games.
Winter weather - 30s, wet conditions, etc, probably factored in.
Yet, the difference between points last night and these teams averages is a bit shocking.
The Griz - gave up 5 interceptions, but they only led to 3 points. They had other fundamental issues, could not run the ball effectively? so pass in poor conditions?
NDSU defense is better than that of UNI. JMU looks vulnerable now, provided NDSU can score points. JMU's defense is good.

Team Pts Per Game Season Pts 12/13 game Difference Outcome
    James Madison 44 17 27 less W
    UNI 23 0 23 less L
    Weber State 30 17 13 less W
    Austin Peay 36 10 26 less L
    Montana 39 10 29 less L
    Montana State 35 24 11 less W

I thought JMU defense looked susceptible to the pass last night - provided receivers could catch the ball.
    Don't believe everything you think.

Can you imagine the score if the Bison D got 5 picks in a game and blocked punt for a TD?
