Off topic a bit, but I wouldn't mind a game with Maine. Make up for the 2001 game we missed due to 9/11. Actually it would have been a neat tribute to have it on the schedule instead of Valpo. It could have been a makeup event on the 20th anniversary of the hijacking.

As I was just looking up the information on that game... Maine was scheduled to come to Fargo? Weren't we still a D2 program at that time?
The weather in Fargo keeps the undesirables out.....

...Which is why I live near the Twin Cities.

Getting home/home deals with some different FCS schools isn't a bad consolation though. I'd really like to see them get a deal with an Ivy League team (which is probably similar difficulty to getting an FBS game but for different reasons) or with someone like Jacksonville St (who you'd think would be receptive).
A western public school with a top notch team getting a home and home with an Ivy team is essentially impossible. They barely move off the east coast to start with, and public schools are even rarer. Which is a bummer, I'd like to see NDSU play every FCS team at least once.

I like it! East coast bound again. Gonna have to cover anything we missed during the Delaware trip.

The only teams I've seen them play out West are San Diego and Cal Poly, with Cal Poly being the only public school out West they'll schedule. Otherwise, it's mostly Eastern schools in the Pioneer, Northeast CAA and Patriot League.
    Hail the BISON!!!
