Just an observation from the game. Me seats are near the visitors section and right next to where the visiting teams runs out along with Refs. When our intro started there was one member of the referring crew with his phone tapping our intro. While I get most visiting team fans do this I was surprised to an official be doing it.

Probably was just looking for any targeting calls in the stands.

The Forum video with the four reporters had an extra 6 seconds at the begining accidentally. It had McFeely being a jerk to Eric Peterson and it made everything awkward before Domm said action. It shows they must hate him too.

Don’t know what their conversation was but he did come off as a douche

Was the targeting call on the Nicholls player called on the field initially?

There was no announcement by the Crew of a penalty until AFTER the review.

The Cox play had a flag thrown, an announcement of a targeting penalty, and then the review and overturn.

I guess I’m wondering if the booth initiated the review on the first.

Yeah that was frustrating. Just watched the replay, the Nichols player dipped his head at the last minute. Not a vicious hit but certainly illegal, seemed like he put himself in jeopardy there. The NDSU Athletics youtube highlights catch a few of the questionable penalties.

I don't think it was targeting. He made it suspect by lowering his head. Players need to stop doing that. It's as much a risk for the hitter as the hitter. But there was no element of targeting (i.e. crouch, launch) and he wasn't attempting to punish the opponent. He did lower his helmet though and there was contact with the crown. He avoids the opportunity for the replay official to mage that mistake if he keeps his head up.

It got to the point yesterday that every time we had a great play I just automatically assumed a flag would be thrown. Even Phil made the comment on the radio that it seemed like the SoCon refs were tired of the Bison winning all the time and were trying to make a southern team look good.

Here is something I was shocked about: Ns 172 yards rushing, 41 carries 4.2 ypc
NDSU 267 yards, 40 carries 6.7 ypc.
