As I understand it every player on the 2020 roster gets an extra year to complete their eligibility (so 6 years to play 4/5 instead of 5 years to play 4). However, the scholarship limit will only be increased for the 2021 season presumably to allow for teams to let their seniors have a "real season" under scholarship to finish off their careers. Then after that it's back to 63 scholarships max amongst 85 players max in the FCS in 2022.

I wonder if the increased limit in 2021 will really affect anyone in the FCS though with the financial strain all programs will be under. Will NDSU Athletics have the money to hand out an extra 10-15 football scholarships in fall 2021??? I suspect many 6th year seniors in 2021 will be given the choice to pay their own way to play one more year or get started with the rest of their lives. Might be a tough decision especially since the majority should have undergrad degrees by this summer.

NDSU makes Dylan Rollins Top 5. He's a 3 Star OT from Missoula, MT. He hasn't officially received an offer from NDSU but has been talking to their coaches and would consider them if he got an offer. The rest of his Top 5 includes Minnesota, BYU, Oregon State, and Montana State.

Rollins is the highest-rated recruit to come out of Montana in six-years.
Other offers He had include Nebraska, Central Michigan, Utah State, UNLV, Air Force, and Montana
He will make a decision by Dec. 16.

"The factors that separate Rollins from other linemen come from how he improved physically and technically, he’s just a grunt. He’s a kid who finds work" - Sports Illustrated Director of Football Recruiting John Garcia Jr.

Interesting that he would mention NDSU being in his top 5 without even having an offer. Where did you see this?

Don’t know about the NDSU part of this, but saw this yesterday on Minnesota offer. Was hoping he would take it......if DaGophers are in the market for another OL I don’t want them looking at Sam Henry.

Thanks. It seems like he does in deed like NDSU(whether he likes it better than the others only he knows) if he's willing to publicly say they are in his top 5 without an offer. Like I said earlier, interesting.

    Offered by St Thomas.
Previous offers include Air Force, Army, Minnesota State Mankato, Northern State, University of Mary, Winona State, SMSU.
Is a 2021 NDSU interest, made a GameDay visit and later a Junior Day visit before the shutdown.
Today SDSU put out a PWO to Kenyatta Brannon, followed several hours later by South Dakota, also a PWO.
Also has a Sioux Falls offer, given in November.
