Thinking about the national awards this year and why our players won't get any of them. Everyone on the team is good or excellent. reminds me of The Incredibles and Syndrome's quote-

"And if everyone's special, no one is."

These other teams that have a superb QB, RB, or WR that stand out, do so out of necessity. If that one player wasn't superman and putting up gaudy numbers, the team would be crap and be like 1-10. Thus, that one player that lifts the entire team above purgatory and is the MVP.

Can anyone name one player on the NDSU roster that we CAN'T live without? nope, next man up and keep the dynasty thundering.

If they didn't double team Tuszka, you are probably correct that he gets 100 sacks in a season.
Without double teams, he'd get 200
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

BMac is a good dude, people got on him for his JMU stuff earlier, but he's willing to debate and he's a super positive person, doesn't take himself too seriously.

Yeah. He's takes it pretty well and dishes it back. Still don't agree with the rational he gave to justify his early season rankings, but he's willing to post it and debate about it, so he definitely gets points for that.

Yep, if Trey Lance had "Jr" or "Sr" instead of "Fr" after his name on the Payton ballot he'd be a shoe-in.

It sounds like you have to be on a lousy or mediocre team to be the MVP. You can be on a good team and lift the play of the team and make good players better. Can we live without Tre and win that trophy? Maybe but the chances of success decrease substantially. Same with Cox.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I totally agree. Losing an important player still makes it possible to win the natty, just a lot harder.

Trey Lance one of the final 4 for Payton

    http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.as...14410362209204

Not to deviate TOO much from this Lance thread, but I found it pretty disappointing that Ben DiNucci didn't get a single vote. 26 players got votes and, man, looking at the stats of some of them, I have to ask WHY? DiNucci is 2nd in passing efficiency and his stats aren't TOO far off of Lance's stats. So for 15 QBs to get votes out of the top 26 and him not being one of them, that is a huge slap in the face.

Dinucci wasn't on the final ballot so that's why. How the folks at STATS thought there were 15 QBs on that ballot that had better seasons than Dinucci is the real headscratcher.
