I like the newer jersey's emphasis on "NDSU." Pretty sure that was one of the driving factors.

Looking back that piping on the pants was hideous and North Dakota State was unreadable. But I like the simple numbers and the shoulder numbers.

I like it because before it we had yellow numbers on white

I don’t believe the “Snorty” logo made it into the helmet until the late 70s based on photos from the past.

According to these photos and the scan of the old game day programs, Snorty wasn't on a football helmet until 1978. However, according to this article, Snorty made first appeared on the helmets in 1977: https://www.inforum.com/sports/38772...go-still-holds

My guess, the 1972 date is the year that the Snorty logo officially replaced the older Bison logo that had NDSU across its body (see below), which first appeared on a NDSU helmet during the 1964 season based on these photos (any chance Mudra had a say in this?): https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c5/e9...87ae93dd07.jpg

Ah yes, the Bieber Bison. AKA Emo Bison. AKA Elmer Glue Bison. The uproar here when that disaster was unveiled was vintage bisonville. I remember emailing Gene Taylor about it, offering to kick in some cash to change it back. He replied back that they didn't pay anything for it, lol.

Awesome. Ndsu should rock these with black jerseys and white pants for the playoffs

The program pictures probably are a year delay? As in they used pictures from previous year. So 1978 pictures were taken in 77 season.
