It doesn't matter what you or I think, it is what do the kids think and it seems they love the guy. Also any attention on PJ is good for the University. Old saying, all publicity is good publicity.

Souhan or Scoggins did a story on PJ last week in the Strib. Kids have to go to class. Sit in front two rows of class. Have to meet with professors/instructors periodically. Wear collared shirts. Group of kids is well behaved, disciplined and doing well academically.

In many regards he is old school in teaching the student athletes values and respect the opportunity they have.

All in all, coming off the Penn State win, a tough game, against a good team on the road was expected. They had their chances. That is all you ask for.

They go 1-0 and against Northwestern. the Badger game will be EPIC and I would expect a Penn State type performance.

to PJ's credit. he's done something that no other college coach is doing.

he's relating to the players, he is trying to be their best friend and be hip and cool and with it and wow. 17 year olds like that. So he will continue to get good recruits.

We're thinking about driving down. It would also be our 4th in 6 years -- all in different states. When we lived in Oregon, we just happened to be in Fargo for the 1st College Gameday and then were in Eugene the following week.
