My father is 70 and recently had an ablation for a heart arhythmia. I think his life still matters, do you? I don't think he's soft either.

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced substantial loss. I do mean that with all sincerity. It is important (for me) to know that you have that perspective because in your posts you seem a bit callous about it. I think I get it. You are just hardened by your experience. That is understandable.

I might not be the brightest bulb in the pack but I do not fancy myself as a “fricking idiot” either. Nor do I believe that death is in any way avoidable. The opposite is most assuredly true.

It is going to be very difficult to work out the differences between groups if each of us judges the other. Your viewpoint has some validity. My viewpoint has some validity. The people in between and on the outsides have some validity. We need to not attack each other but rather the common enemy, the bug.
