1) New coaching staff that has made some very interesting calls at times
2) Kicking game
3) Lack of discipline - too many penalties, although better against YSU
4) Interior DL (but playing better as the season goes on)
5) Depth at LB
6) Youth at skill positions on offense
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft-living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life...
Well, you said, "knock the ball down CB's or Safety's"... maybe people thought you were joking.
Hayes, Hendricks, and Bridges are all in the top 20 for pass breakups.
Now, it'd be nice if they intercepted more of those balls, but it seems weird to complain about the nation's #1 pass efficiency defense.
First, after listening to the game on the radio Saturday it didnt sound like this team had many deficiencies , however, I still see a couple area's where it is weaker than normal and that may not be saying weak by Bison standards. Interior D-line could use some BEEF, it has 8 very athletic guys but two toads (Levon Perry like) with some quickness would really bottle up that area as to let the great athletic speed around it finish off plays inside. The D edges are terrific as is the D backfield, both have depth too. Coaching will improve with time as did Kleiman after his first 1-2 years. This team took a HUGE step forward last weekend, I did not see this team being undefeated after nine games, or this good.
well most everyone is behind us in the score and throws alot so chances are much higher, and we have 1 Interception by cornerbacks and that was a terrible throw by sdsu 3rd string QB. But just seems like a lot of long passes especially/td's etc where you are like "knock it down!"
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Hahaha! Well, obviously you don't watch the Eagles. Any deep ball makes the DBs and WRs look like tee-ballers in fly ball practice. Even if there was no opponent on the field, it's a win if they simply don't fall down and get hit in the nuts by the ball.
Opponents are only completing 15 passes per game, btw, which is only 2.5 more per game than NDSU.
Defensive scheme/assignments against RPO teams needs work.
