We didnt throw much, so obviously pass pro shouldnt have been an issue.

We did keep a majority of our runs with the tailbacks between the tackles, so maybe with the other three bigger backs they felt like they had all they needed.

Perhaps with QB run so heavy in the gameplan, they wanted tailbacks with a little weight in the ass that could block an LB or safety.

Regardless, the kid is special and has big play ability written all over him. He needs consistent touches though otherwise he becomes a gimic player that defenses will key on.
you are correct- we didnt pass alot so it wasnt pass protection. However we ran Lance alot with a back as an additional blocker- and Kobe isnt there yet to provide meaningful push to an oncoming linebacker or saftey on the Trey runs. I wouldnt put too much thought into it. Was i surprised that he didnt have ANY carries? sure. should any of us be worried for any reason about that decision whatsoever? no, lol
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

8-0, including beating all three rivals, beating 3 top 10 teams, including 2 blowouts, and Bisonville bitches and moans.

No wonder we have the reputation we do.

Armchair coaches gonna armchair coach but that's just my opinion.
Cuz. Clark cant figure out how to pass block and needs to get his nose in the playbook

What a nonsensical answer to the Kobe question, could just as well have asked why we didn't run Cofield more, would have gotten another stupid answer. Two games in a row with a poor offensive game plan, once is chance, two is a coincidence, three is a pattern. If we don't straighten this out this week, who knows if Roehl has what it takes to put together a decent game plan for anything other than a Butler or UN_, he was so promising in those first four games, he's overthinking this thing.
Or Maybe they figure they will see them again and saved some things for them.

Less run fits and penalties that was 3 td game

Imo (Clark) doesn't run as tough as he should. Like he doesn't know how big he is. But it's getting better.

Funny thing is if had Cofield been stopped short of the 1st down on that 4th down we all would've immediately become much better armchair coaches.

Entz spoke about Clark and limited action on the radio last night.

Most of the questions speculation crap on here is discussed on either insiders or the Monday night coach show

Re qb running specifically, I’m guessing SDSU game plan that worked was to baiting t lance into reading qb keep instead of hand off. Hence, whenever sweeps or RB got the carries on the qb read they were very successful (ie. Or any running other than qb).

I don't think it's quite that dire, but it is a valid question that it seems the offensive planning seems to struggle against higher quality defenses. They are still 8-0 though and it's always possible execution is part of the problem. Penalties for sure are too high and contributing to the problem.
