I’ve thought/assumed for years now that Anish got pulled from NDSU games after his love letter to Fargo. He openly posts pictures of his family in Bison gear. I don’t think Anish will ever do another Bison game.

He does his research, pronounces names correctly, and brings just the right amount of excitement to his play calling. Anish is a pro and makes every game he calls more enjoyable to watch.

This is probably true. But Troy Aikman at Cowboy broadcasts are unbearable. I’m sure Anish is a good enough professional to maintain neutrality.

Yeah, I think they look for more of these angles than try to prevent them, especially at the collegiate level...

And I bet IndyBison would be professional enough to ref one of our games, but the NCAA wouldn't let it happen.

It doesn't matter that Anish would be professional and not a fan, it matters that ESPN wouldn't let a potential conflict of interest happen.

I think the point is that if Aikman or Romo calling a Cowboys game isn’t a conflict of interest, then pretty much anything goes. I don’t see what advantage is gained on the field by having a homer announcer.
