Would be nice to know why this change was made. Is the NCAA behind it or is ABC/ESPN.

The NCAA can ask nicely I suppose, but networks call their own shots these days. Really they can't go wrong with football on TV. Better than a rerun of a crime drama

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.

The NCAA and ABC are one in the same? News to me. Edit: Disney owns ABC. Just wondering why this change was made and who made it. We are the NCAAs only division 1 football playoff. Are they trying to raise awareness, or is ESPN desiring to clear space for the big boys?

Ahhhh ABC and ESPN are owned by Disney. Everything they do is with profit in mind.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

    True.

But casual sports fans are much more likely to find a game on ABC than espn than ESPN2.

There are many folks who don't have anything but ota (but also folks who don't have ota channels).

How many folks would rather watch college football versus sewing with nancy?

That's true, but when I'm looking for a football game to watch when NDSU isn't playing, I check out which games are on ABC, CBS, and ESPN before scrolling down to the other channels.
It's OK to not be OK.
