NDSU is # 1 in Scoring Offense, Scoring Defense, Total Offense, Total Defense, Rushing Offense, Rushing Defense, Pass Defense, Pass Efficiency, Pass Defense Efficiency, Kickoff Returns, Punt Return Average, Sacks Against, Opponent 1st Downs, 3rd Down Conversions, Opponent 3rd Down Conversions, 4th Down Conversions, Red Zone Offense.

I love football stats and have followed NDSU football for quite a while. I've never seen that kind of domination.

Things NDSU is not #1 in (so plenty to work on): Pass Offense (8th), Interceptions (4th), Punting (6th), Kickoff Coverage (2nd), Field Goals (2nd), PAT% (6th), Sacks By (6th), First Downs (2nd), Opponent 4th Down Conversions (2nd), Penalties (5th), Opponent Penalties (9th), TOP (2nd), TO Margin (2nd), Red Zone Defense (3rd)

So for this year they're:
2nd in scoring offense (41)
2nd in scoring defense (12.6)
4th in total offense (482.7)
2nd in total defense (277)
2nd in yards per play (7.43)
5th in yards allowed per play (4.53)
4th in rushing (294.2)
2nd in yards per carry (6.47)
5th in yards per pass attempt (9.67)
2nd in yards allowed per pass attempt (5.67)
1st in passing efficiency (183.92)
1st in defensive pass efficiency (102.1)
4th in 3rd down conversion rate (52%)
3rd in turnover margin (+12)
1st in kick return average (27.78)

This is all out of 125 FCS teams. It's not hard to see why they're 10-0.

I disagree. They look on par with last year’s team IMO.

Defensively I think you have a point. Offensively I'm not sure if I've ever seen an NDSU team operate better overall (outside of a few lapses in the Missouri St and SDSU games).

Missing from these offensive stats are the # of WR who have receptions; # of RB who have touches; # of TE who have receptions, etc. This has got to be the most diverse offense in Bison history. Any other team in the FCS (or FBS) have the diversity of offensive play makers?

Same. I feel like our offense is legit, but defense seems wayyy less athletic and lacking playmakers than previous teams. I don’t feel like this team is as good as some previous NDSU teams despite our perfect record...it feels more like the rest of fcs (including our own conference) just flat out stinks. Playoffs will probably be exciting and change my mind
