Anyone that thinks we would have a full slate of P5 and MWC teams is living in fantasy land, and getting P5 at home...lol not for 20 years if ever anymore, maybe for a 5 for 1

No conference FBS is a death sentence
Each one of those teams listed is literally better than 90% of the non-con and conference games that we play each year. How do i know this? Based on any metric that you want to look at.

Look at this years average Conference Sagarin Rankings...

MVFC: 133 (low of 39 high of 215)
MAC: 114 (low of 81 high of 194)
Sun Belt:105 (low of 30 high of 174)

Also, the current Sagarin Ratings of the "terrible" schools listed above:
    UMass: 221
    Liberty: 117
    EMich: 109
    NM: 140

    This years non-conference schedule had Butler(250), ND(149), Delaware(163) and Davis(129)

Our league, while it might be strong for the FCS is still shitty compared to all FBS conferences. If the MVFC went toe to toe with the MAC or Sunbelt our conference would have 2 to 3 wins at most (depending on the matchups). So while some like to throw stones about how bad the lower FBS schools might be they are still collectively light years better than anything that the MVFC trots out each and every week.

Throw in the other P5/G5 games that we could be having that schedule would be FAR superior to anything that we see on a yearly basis. Like i said earlier we have 2 to 3 games annually that are interesting.

    I don't think so.

NDSU is paying a guarantee, so no return game.

The scheduling woes are the price of the incredible success.

I agree with that. Unprecedented success that likely isn't going anywhere. We may not win every year but we will continually be a top 5 team.

We are choosing undesirable schedules for the chance at a championship. The whole season's worth is based on 2 to 3 games annually. Let's hope that there are not too many years where those good games are all on the road.

Can’t really argue with NDSU’s scheduling philosophy and the success we’ve had.

Albany at home is a great game. Would have loved to have a home-home even. Anytime we can get home games against CAA teams it is a scheduling win. This is arguably the second best conference in the FCS, not the MEAC or something.

Albany > better than a mid level Pig Sty Conf. team.

At face value, this is a giant yawn. If we add an FBS game or a Premier FCS game, this all of the sudden is great news!

As usual, wait for more information before declaring an opinion
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS
