Four of xxx nine league teams received first-place votes, with South Dakota ultimately coming in second behind the Bison in the preseason poll. Oral Roberts was picked third, Omaha was fourth, South Dakota State was fifth followed by Purdue-Fort Wayne, Western Illinois, North Dakota xxx Denver

Well we better back this up. Funny SDSU without Daum finally falls down. Go Bison

Mick Garry used to be the USD beat writer for the Argus a few years ago, but no longer works there. Matt Zimmer is the SDSU writer for the Argus

    Not liking the big expectations.

Oral Roberts is going to be a load this season. They are my favorite to win it.

It's prove it time for Richman. Anything less then the dance will be a disappointment. Expectations should be high.

The ORU team that went 11-21 last season? Why? Maybe I missed some big changes?

Yep. Senior laden team... no more perpetual "we're a young team trying to figure things out" excuse. As his mini-extension showed last spring he doesn't have Larsen's full vote of confidence... yet. He's not going to get fired with that extra 2 years added on following this season but if he's going to secure truly long-term security via another extension his team will need to meet or exceed expectations this year which are high and rightfully so.
