UC Davis Post-Game Thoughts/Discussion

To Brian's credit, he did say on his podcast last week that if NDSU gets to 8-0 (after the SDSU game), he wouldn't even think about it, he will switch them immediately.

THAT said... I think he's giving too much credit to JMU at this point even. I don't see what's wrong with giving the defending champs the edge until they slip up. This is exactly what happened in 2017 and it should be no different when the Bison are in the driver's seat.

If NDSU wins @ISUR and beats UNI...it would be way past time to make a switch in my opinion and Brian would deserve being ripped to shreds on twitter for his lack of judgement. I could get that logic if JMU had beaten WVU but that wasn't the case.

I will add if NDSU is undefeated through SDSU than this team is going to win another title. That is a stretch that features 6 top 25 teams with 4 being in the top 10.

Come on now. You know that NDSU is not only expected to win it's games, but blow out all their opponents regardless of their ranking. Otherwise you can question if a number of plays went the other way they might have lost and that proves they are beatable.

Exactly. These teams aren't losing to the bison. They're just running out of time. The polls need to reflect this.

Agree. And for the record, I wasn't defending BMac's logic, necessarily. Just that he's been public that if he thinks NDSU has proved their better, he'll make the switch regardless of his initial ranking.

Some people think NDSU has already proved their better, some think they will after UNI, some BMac and others after SDSU... Still others probably not until they meet JMU or someone else in Frisco.

The problem is, I think NDSU and JMU have good chances at losses this year. How that shakes out in polls and seeding will be interesting with the timing of the losses...
