Without the gambling aspect, if you could start your life over starting at any point in time, would you do it?

Absolutely not. But would I have liked to know in 1973 what I know now? Well from this vantage point hell yes. Would I have been intelligent/mature enough to integrate it? Biiiiig question mark.

Some years ago my wife and I were st a dinner party and a topic went around god table: “if you could meet anybody alive or dead who would it be?”

All the standard answers about Einstein, Churchill etc, etc were offered. But after the party as I reflected on it the only “ correct” answer would be me, twenty or thirty years older. Who else would have the unique perspective to offer guidance over the intervening years challenges those many years down the road?
