2018 Verbal: Trey Lance

Lance was very impressive for sure. Like a lot of you, I wasn’t buying into the whole competition thing with Noland, but even I was “shocked” by his level of athleticism both running and throwing.

I’m trying to temper myself by reminding that it was only Butler, but my goodness, that was awesome stuff.

That was the most impressive starting debut I can remember... cripes, his passer rating was over 350. 17 yards per passing attempt and 23 ypc? Can't ask for any more than that.

Rooting for him to make the comparison with the other all-time Bison and FCS greats valid.

My most impressive debut was Wentz but he was a junior. He is the only QB that in his first game I said this guy looks like a pro QB when we destroyed Iowa state. I consider this his debut since he played only in mop up before kind of like Trey last year. Trey has some of those same qualities I just need to see it against varsity competition which Butler was not. Laugh at me if you want but next week He hopefully does the same thing.

I say Rice. Bison QB ain't ever winning the Payton so why bother.

IMO. Lance is already the 2nd best passer behind Wentz.

I know that sounds crazy but he throws a great ball and it’s accurate every time. Plus he’s only a freshman. Unreal he good he is. Takes the sack instead of forcing it. Can’t teach that. So impressed.
