ALOT of freshman will play ALOT the first 4-5 games here. 3 cupcakes & Davis?

Easy decision that they will play 8-10 true freshman these first 4 games the decide who is helping them succeed and shelf the rest.

Safe to say Kobe Johnson was the standout freshman performer. Anyone else notice any of the other freshman making plays?

Another interesting tid bit, Sanders is listed in the participation chart so all 3 QBs saw the field.

Also for some reason Lance isn't on the participation list. Did anyone notice if he played?

Doubt they will need extra depth at TE this season towards the end of the year, so it's probably safe to use up available games at his position early in the year? Just a guess.

Kids that show potential early will go the Dimitri Williams route. They'll play here and there where the coaches feel they'll be needed or gain experience against MVFC opponents, but be saved for the playoffs. I'm guessing we've seen the last of Kobe Johnson til SDSU, UNI, or a Youngstown type game. Then save what's left of his red shirt for the playoffs.
