Why? It was a what, 4 point gap before the game? 12 point road loss... adjust for home field... standard deviation is around 14 points... add it to the existing data that suggested UNI was better... doesn’t seem unreasonable.

This is a good point, we don’t really know what’s in Sagarin’s preseason ratings or how long they continue to influence the results.
