That's why there's no trees in South Dakota.

It's so obvious that none of you umpire baseball. If you did, you would wholeheartedly agree with me. Aluminum bats are dangerous to defensive players, especially pitchers. Their skill level is not up to the task of handling or reacting to a rocket off the bat. I've seen pitchers knocked to the ground with noses shattered and teeth knocked out. Even with the restrictions placed on bats such as length to weight ratio, ball exit speed, (there are more) that state associations have put in place to protect players, it's still a dangerous game.

No one in the world goes to a high school or college baseball game to see dudes hit dingers.

Can't remember where I heard it, but isn't there also a correlation between aluminum bats and young pitchers injuring their throwing elbows with the number of breaking balls that they throw when facing aluminum bats???

It's not all about weight length ratios when considering ball exit speed. You need to use a lightweight material to fill the core and dampen the ball exit speed to equal that of a wood bat's. I did a research project on this in the late 90's actually, and to this day wished I would have pursued a patent on the solid core composite aluminum bat.

Dominic being NDSU #1 RB is pretty special, I think sky's the limit for this guy and he's ONLY a sophomore

can someone show us what's up with Gonella? someone said he has ankle surgery and was done.

I talked to his dad yesterday, but didn't ask, but i'd assume he wouldn't fly all the way from Philly if Dom was done for the year.. anyone? I dont see anything in our media notes at work.
