My boss hates it when I shorten his name to Dick, mainly because his name is Steven.

Cole Wisniewski, Sparta - Wisniewski was a dynamic weapon on offense with more than 1800 total yards and 22 touchdowns responsible for as the team's quarterback, but he was an elite defender as well. The Mississippi Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year, he recorded 75 tackles with two sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. A North Dakota State recruit, he will likely play in the secondary for the Bison.

Sheesh...is it bad that 30% of the finalists for the top defensive backs in Wisco are NDSU commits?

Either this kid, or Wlodarczyk(needs a nickname) or Dom Jones needs to become a LB. Or, Dom Jones played a mean CB in HS, still..... Waaayyyy tooooooo many safeties who are destined to be great. Something has to give here.

Cole was recruited as a linebacker: "Welcome to the Bison linebacker Cole Wisniewski, 6-3, 189, Sparta, Wis. (Sparta HS)."

This dude can play! Here is Dom Izzo's preview of the linebacking position: Bison 2022 position preview: Linebacker

In it, Dom mentions that Cole hurt his Achilles this winter, missed all of spring ball, and *might* be ready to go at the start of the season.
