No, no coach could recruit KState effectively enough to win 4 out of 5 championships at FBS level. That said, he is an excellent defensive mind, intelligent, and will probably build a good coaching staff. He was a great coach, good man and I would take him back as HC of my team in a heartbeat. I have a hunch that NDSU defense slips some without him but we’ll see.

I just hope Entz has him on speed dial and he picks up on Saturday's when we need an adjustment.

I wouldn't worry about much with him. I would think he'll make the most of the job but I don't see a scenario where he recruits well enough to make them consistent contenders in the conference.

Kansas State is a tough job.

The players have to buy in to what he wants to do. But more importantly the fans and Boosters have to buy in and give him TIME to do what he needs to do. Time is huge and will help establish reputation which will have far reaching implications with recruiting etc etc etc.

He won't get beat by a FCS team.

But I'd like a chance to prove that statement wrong.

K State will be am easier place to be successful than Wyoming. They have a great tradition, fundraising, Facilities, and culture.

4 Championships in 5 years? No. But making major Bowl games and being in the top 20? Yes

He's got two challenges both related to Snyder & Co. mailing it in the last five years.

He needs to establish a culture and recruit.

Kansas State is doing very well recruiting and the turnover is actually good.

The big bowls are going to be a challenge I think. OU is good now and Texas looks like they might be back. Lots of pretty good teams in the Big 12.

    Hope he does well.

This is the most vital piece...if this happens, I see multiple BIG 12 championships. I'm willing to put money on it.
