We're probably just talking semantics at this point but my point was that in this Bison offense the QB just needs to be able to take advantage of those opportunities the defense gives them when they're so focused on the run and be accurate enough to convert those 3rd and medium/long at a good clip. If Trey Lance or Zeb Noland can do that they won't need to be NFL caliber in order to keep this train rolling.
Les Miles makes a top 30 list as the best FBS coaches - but not Coach K?

One has a national title and one has never coached an FBS game....doesn't seem that surprising.
So one has 1 ring and the other has 7 rings. Both appear to face the same challenges - new to their program, big holes to fill, play essentially the same schedule. lets see how the seasons end for 1 ring vs 7 rings

Interesting discussion going on over on the K State forum about the health of Les Miles. Some think he has early on set of dementia base on his appearance on several interviews and incoherence. Hope that is not the case.
"There's a thread over on the Phog about this. It's apparent something isn't quite right with Les, as many KU fans are also saying this. There is definitely reasons to be concerned about his health. Just watch any of his KU press conferences.. he just has a hard time speaking and getting his thoughts together."

I haven't been to either forum, but I heard his Big XII Media Day press conference on the radio and it wasn't good. There were some uncomfortably long pauses and quiet times. Hope that's not the case cuz KU needs him badly, but he didn't sound right on the radio. Maybe Bill Snyder can come out of retirement again.....
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.Bob Lutz, The Wichita Eagle, August 30th, 2013
