That sucks. Kind of out of his control so what can a guy do? Glad to see he'll be on academic scholarship this year. Was looking forward to seeing a true 7 footer but on the positive not, we did get a juco transfer

Is he on track to graduate at the end of this upcoming junior school year? If not why wont he keep his scholly for his senior year?

I believe you're only allowed to use a Medical Exemption on a player for one season per player, if they kept him on scholly next year it would count against our available scholarships.

Bummed that injuries derailed his career, was interested to see how he'd do, as soon as we signed a 6'10" JUCO player last week I said right away it was only a matter of time before this was announced.

    Frightening.

I can't imagine have to leave basketball because of a medical problem with Meidinger.

If I remember correctly Hank Jacobs had to quit the FB team because of injuries and they honored the the scholarship. So I find this strange.

Yeah, but a single basketball scholarship is a a lot more valuable to the health of the program.

Good luck to Jordan, injuries must be a tough way to end his career. Sucks!

Perhaps they moved him over to an assistant or handled it somewhat like work study. I do remember him leaving the team because of injuries

I hurt my wrist really bad once, but I can't imagine what life would be like I couldn't play with Meidinger anymore.

At one of the signing parties they talked about commitment and how they stuck by Hank and honored their commitment to him even though he couldnt play anymore.
As they should have I might add.
