Eau Claire is a twin cities suburb basically. 45 miles
2020 Minnesota had 28 D1 players and NDSU got 0 of them seems absurd

Grant Nelson article by Greg DeVillers GF Herald

    https://www.grandforksherald.com/spo...sketball-crowd

...... The 6-10 senior is the centerpiece of the offense and defense for the Firebirds, who are off to a 3-2 start. Nelson has averages of 28.8 points, 19.6 rebounds and 5 blocks per game this season. That production doesn’t come by just planting himself underneath the basket.
“Grant’s actually not a real good back-to-the-basket player,’’ Devils Lake coach Derek Gathman said. “He’s more of a forward type, attacking the basket off the dribble. We hear all the time: ‘Post him up.’ But that wouldn’t be the best way to use his abilities.’’......

...... Nelson has signed to play basketball at North Dakota State University.

He emerged as an impact player last season. He averaged 16.4 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.1 rebounds, earning second team all-state honors......

Sounds like Rocky Krueser 2.0 except even better off the dribble. I haven't seen him play but from the sounds of the article he could be a really great player in the summmit league

Do any coaches even try to develop a post game on kids with some size in high school? Seems like if kids aren't developing some post moves early on, it's too late when they get to the college game. Seems everyone is allergic to the paint and the rim, but what do I know.
North Dakota State, a football team the big boys of college football should avoid like the plague, helped christen a $90 million renovation to Snyder Family Stadium — including a statue of famed Kansas State coach Bill Snyder himself — by taking a sledgehammer to the place.
