They need to utilize two entrances. Going to be a disaster.
Got an email from Helena this morning with a map that shows that all reserved tailgaters need to line up south and east of the dome (lots D and C) and enter from the east entrance off Albrecht.
Over/under on how long it'll take to get everyone into the west lot: 90 minutes. This will be a shit show.

Yep, at least have G South use the SW entrance. Not exactly sure where the lineup would be... R North and then down Albrecht maybe??? Back when all of G South was GA they lined us up all the way back to the Benston Bunker parking lot... so it's not like it's impossible. The GA line won't be that long considering how small the NQ lot is.
EDIT: Or just have G South reserved tailgaters line up on the south side of lot C in a separate line. When it comes time for lots to open up direct that line to 17 Ave and utilize the SW entrance. Probably too much to ask that they already would do that for this game but it would be an easy change that wouldn't take away from their "you need to come in the main Fargodome entrance via University Ave plan" and make everyone happier.

It was already a disaster for any of the early season games, this could be much easier but we can't do things the easy way. Gotta have an entire massive parking lot of tailgaters all go through one enterance, do the people that run tailgating even step back and think about how stupid that is?
We have two enterances now, use them. Or at least if you see a massive clusterfuck of a line forming than start letting people in early but I doubt that will happen. Lord knows north Fargo would burn to the ground if somebody started tailgating 20 minutes too early.

You're bullshitting me right??? We're not 3 year olds. Put up a sign at the green dot as you're coming down the main entrance that says "Lots E and F line up to the right (lot D) - lot G line up to the left (lot C)". Take everyone in lot C and take them down 17th Ave to the SW entrance and everyone in lot D goes in the same way they always have.
Does it really take that many people to line up vehicles???

This has been sent to Derrick at least twice already with the canned response received that it is the the FargoDome and FPD that dictate traffic flows. 10 years ago I remember being told that the benefit of having reserved was that we could set up a half hour early. Pretty sure there are a lot of folks in GA that are tailgating before some reserved folks even get into the lot tomorrow.
Sometimes I wonder if the FargoDome's mission statement is "Change is bad. Never change"
