The gophers website (gophersports.com) reports that the Minnesota Spring Open meet scheduled for this coming weekend has been cancelled.

Mpls area is supposed to get 12-18 inches of snow on Th and Fr, high temperatures of 36 on Friday and 39 on Saturday - per the current forecasts.

I believe that was about a 6' improvement over her previous best, before this meet. More than 12% improvement.
If this is correct, that is a crazy breakout performance. Many would be happy with a few inches here, few inches there improvement. A foot or two, really happy. Six feet, hard to describe. A 12% improvement improvement in the 400m would be like going from a personal best of 50 seconds to 44 seconds, or from a 1500m in 4:00 to a 3:31, a personal best long jump from 24 ft to 26 ft 1.5 inches.

She threw 52' 10 1/4" at the Baldy Castillo Meet in Tempe last month. So, nearly 4 feet further this past Saturday.

At the Summit League Indoor Championships, she went 55' 2 1/4".

Her first collegiate meet (Thundering Herd Classic) just three months ago, she registered a mark of only 47' 10 1/2".

Another success story in the making for the Bison throwing program and Coach St. Clair.

Amanda Levin definitely deserves a shout out for her performance this weekend in the heptathlon. She breaks the school record held by Whitney Carlson who was an All American in the event. Amanda is highly likely to make the NCAA championship with her score. Great to see a local West Fargo athlete with the success!

    Absolutely!

5th best score in the NCAAs this spring and #3 in the West Qualifying List (5,695).

Incredibly, 30 of the top 100 heptathlon scores in the entire country this spring were posted at this same meet (The Bryon Clay Invitational).

Bison Men's Track & Field kicking ass.

NDSU is the only team is the US that have 4 men with marks over 60' in the Shot Put and are the top team in the NCAA collectively in the Hammer.

Looks like the Howard Wood Relays are Friday, Saturday and Sunday while the Summit is next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Maybe looking at recovery time and making the Conference a priority.

Yep, doubtful any of our studs on either the men's or women's team will compete at Howard Wood. The whole season for our T&F team points to conference.
