For those interested ... Riley Dolezal throws Oct 5 (preliminaries), and if he does well, will throw in the Final on Oct 6, at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships.

The IAAF had the preliminary rounds in the javelin yesterday. Riley underperformed; he was quite a bit below his season best (82.84 meters) and personal best (83.50) of a couple years ago. Riley threw 75.82 meters. The other U.S. entrant in the men's javelin, Micheal Shuey threw 80.53. The best throw of the day was from a German - Vetter - who threw 89.35. Twenty throwers topped 80 meters. Eight threw better than Riley's all-time best of 83.50. Riley was 26th out of the 32 throwers.

Finals in the javelin are today (Oct 6), the last day of the World Championships.

    2019 Cross Country

Kelby Anderson "was the first runner left out of the national meet" per gobison.com article. What a shame.
She would have a good shot at being an All-American if she was given the opportunity to compete.
