I would be much happier if they folded the programx and put the money towards football so they can actually move up to a legitimate level.

Thats why they call this place is the basketball forum Franklin. And this is a good thing, because the next time the football team is kicking the shit out of an FBS school, their fanbase will say "at least this is a Division 1 team because their basketball team was in the NCAA tournament and played Duke!"

if NDSU grabbed a bigger name for a coach... or even a coach with a fast paced offense and hit Multiple Big Dances in a row, this would be a Basketball school in a heartbeat.

I like both sports a lot. However, I love winning too at the D1 level. Football is doing that and what a tremendous credit to everyone involved with that trend from AD to the coaches, the players, parents and fans. For BB fans thinking we are a BB school, they must be remembering the old NCC days when we kind of were in the mix but look back at the records, did we compete that often for the conf. title or were we just on the bubble of a 3rd or 4th place finish?? Yes, attendance was better but the rivals were much closer too.
