This is overlooked when we gab about missed free throws, we were up 4 and chance to go up 6 at about 35 secs to go and then ndsu could have had the ball back with no shot clock up by 3 or 4. Instead they brought it right down and Daum hit a 3 ptr to pull within 1 which makes hitting free throws very critical, although 3 pointer was pretty contested and he shot off balanced as well. Then the missed fts started.

Geu only playing 2 minutes and 57 seconds in the entire 2nd half was also a killer.

Big time. We had no inside presence. All camped out at 3-point. Run shot clock down then drive and kick out for 3. Seemingly no offensive rebounds. Geu doesn’t stay in long enough to get in any sort of rhythm. He played 13 total minutes: 5 boards, 3 blocks, 3 turnovers. He has been getting double teamed, which obviously opens up shooters.

He was getting doubled instantly and wasn't making good decisions getting out of it. If I am coach I am working hard in practice on him passing out of the double teams. Then playing the chess game of getting a shooter left open within 2 passes. Until he can work out of a double, teams are going to throw it at him a bunch.

Gue came in had a great five minutes, than had some issues and looked visibly frustrated when he came out at the end of the first half.

Still kind of wish there was a minute or two of Gue and Rocky just to see what happens.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

Agreed. Geu got the minutes he deserved in this game. Rocky did a fine job and produced at critical times.

The turning point was when Richman put Hunter and Quayle in the game together, both had played poorly and SDSU went on a run to cut the lead into single digits. It is time for Quayle to just sit on the bench unless it is a blowout. At times he plays decent defense but offensively he barely exists.

Hunter kind of runs hot and cold, just need to ride him when he is doing well and sit him when not.

Another thing I noticed a lot of yesterday was hesitation. A lot of guys at the 3-pt line who were open but hesitated only to lead to a more contested shit later in the shot clock (a lot of air balls). This is DI ball, gotta have to confidence, hesitate and the window is closed.

Yes. and even if he didn't contribute offensively. he played good defense on Daum 1st half. Fell for a few fakes though.

Eady defended Duam in the first half, not Deng.
