WrestleStat Dual Comparisons & a new rankings page

We have a loaded weekend of duals! Our headliner this week is obviously #1 Penn State vs #3 Ohio State. With PSU's injuries, it will be interesting to see who goes, and at which weights. On paper, this dual is going to be EXTREMELY close, look for bonus points to be the determining factor here.

Another big dual on Friday is #11 Nebraska vs #9 Minnesota. Even the WrestleStat prediction engine projects this one to a tie, so look for another tight dual, determined by bonus points.

WrestleStat Enhancements

There's a new rankings page available now, Redshirt Rankings. This is just the same rankings pages, but filtered to only include wrestlers that are redshirting, regardless of their eligibility year, this season.

Another rankings enhancment, I've finally added back the "Elo Points" field for all wrestler rankings pages. Since this is the value that's used to determine a wrestlers ranking, and it shows where there may be large "gaps" between ranked wrestlers, I figured I'd make it easy to see again. Previously, you had to open a wrestlers profile page, and click the "Rank History" tab to see this value.

TourneyPool for the Post-Season is ready to go!!! I've fixed all of the outstanding bugs in the system, as well as implemented updates to account for the possibility of replacements being brought in at the last second in the NCAA tournament (see Jason Renteria). Last year, when that happened, it brought the TourneyPool pages to their knees for a few minutes until I could get the code fixed and released.

Lastly, there have been some random aesthetic changes that were implemented to make the site look/behave better.

I don't like cheering for Penn State, but Nickal and Nolf are fun to watch.
