Lincoln Way East.....One of their assistant coaches from the early 2000s was the late great legendary Ron Tomczak. (Mike's dad) (Legendary for his head coaching years at TF North in Lansing, IL)

One of the best guys I have ever known.

    Now offered by Kansas State
An example of not scouting (and ranking) a non-P5 prospect:
Talor Warner was unrated by 247 with FCS offers and a MAC or 2,
Kansas State offers, they look at him and rank him 3 stars.
He commits to Kansas State, is reviewed by 247 and now he is 4 stars......

No Sh!!!t? I did notice the no stars and lack of interest and once he committed to K state that he had jumped to 3 stars but didn't know he is now considered a 4 star recruit. Thats so crazy! I noticed the same thing with Minnesota last year. Almost every kid that committed to them did become a 3 star till after.

Most rating services base their stars on who is recruiting them or attending their camps. Alabama has a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits because they recruit them. They aren't recruiting people because they are 4 or 5 star recruits. College recruiting and pro scouting are educated guesses at best and the rating services are only trying to sell clicks or subscriptions.

It is such a sham. I think I've seen it go the other way, where a three-star recruit signs with an FCS team, and gets dropped down to two stars.

The whole ranking system is a joke for the majority of high school players involved. If you are a stud player the coaches will find you. You put in the effort and you will do just fine. If you are a 5 star recruit and it has gone to your head and you think you are owed it, you will probably fail at it. Just go out and do your job to the best of your abilities. That is all someone can ask of you. Let the chips fall where they might.

    Sounds like a powerhouse program!
Just saw another player, Sean McLaughlin (3star) gave Northwestern his verbal commitment.
