My opinion, and only my opinion, is that the reason BR's family doesn't say caffeine(assuming it is caffeine) is because it would shift the public's ire from NDSU to the NCAA. And right now, the family wants that emotion against NDSU to help with their bargaining position. It would also allow NDSU to easily show that the only way to fail the test is to use the product improperly. I still think this is mostly about money.

If the same substance was being as widely used as the Robbins say it was why did no other player fail any tests? The only reasonable conclusion is that the player who failed took more then what was recommended or combined it with something else that caused the positive result. Sounds like a case of someone trying to blame someone else for their own actions.

Calling 250mg of caffeine a lot in one sitting just shows you're out of touch on this. It is average for a product like this. Which probably 40-50 percent of males age 17-28 take. You probably masterbate to Jane Fonda before calling your buddy up on your rotary phone.

Caffeine as a workout supplement? Has the world gone mad? I still drink raw eggs as my pre-workout thingy before chasing chickens and punching slabs of beef.

If it's just a mistake, the best thing is for someone/whoever to just admit it and move on. Leaving it like this just leaves room for conspiracy theories and for some to blow things out of proportion.
