There have been a number of LPGA stars who have hit the ground running upon turning pro, but it seems an equally significant group whose careers went into overdrive/warp drive after 5 or 6 years of grit, grinding, and perseverance without a win. Not comparing Amy Olson to these two superstars just yet, but would love to see her success follow a similar track! GoChristie...GoSuzann! GoAmy...GoBison!!

Through 14 holes Amy is 1 over par. She is 8 of 10 in fairways hit, 13 of 14 greens in regulation, and 28 putts. That is 2 putts per hole which is terrible for a pro.

Amy finished 2 over par, 3 bogies and 1 birdie. She took 35 putts. Hopefully, she can put that behind her tomorrow.

Golf Channel had Amy and her caddy on their "do you know" segment. It was fun to see.

It all comes back to putting more often than not dufferole. Too many putts for sure. And she played the par 5s even, which is not going to make it easy out there at all. This course is going to take 4 or 5 under per day to contend (leader at -7 today), and she needs to get about 2 or 3 of those on the long holes to make that very likely. All that said, if she would prefer to wait to bring her A game next week, that will work also! GoAmy!...GoBison!!
