She took 32 putts, which isn't great. 13 of 18 in greens/reg. 0 for 1 in sand saves. Hopefully she is sharper next round.

Here are the pairings for Round 2 dufferole. She nearly went out with both of the Jutanugarn sisters, but is paired with Moriya J and rookie Kristen Gillman which should be a good group for Amy. Considering the LPGA names that did not end up at par or under (only 17 players broke par), this appears to be quite a challenging track, which is usually something that Amy embraces.

6 shots off lead after day 1 in a foreign spot. that's not bad at all.
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?
Amy shot a 1 under 71 and sits at even par for her 2 rounds. She took 33 putts and was 16 of 18 in greens/reg. She is 11 strokes off the lead.
The current leader has taken 53 putts in the tournament so far to Amy’s 65 (putts per GIR is a more definitive stat of course, but putts per round has to get below 30!) I believe that this off season she fine tunes that short game dufferole, and for that matter it could fall into place any given week. Amy has another excellent threesome today including Lydia Ko of New Zealand and Jing Yan of China. Lydia has made over $10 million to date playing on the LPGA, but she too has notably endured some challenges and heartaches along the way. I have always loved her sweet disposition and style of play, which are not dissimilar to those of Amy, and it would be great to see both of them where many of us truly believe they belong week to week.

Tough day for Amy. She shot a 5 over 77 and sits 5 over for 3 rounds. She was 11 of 18 in greens/reg. and took 34 putts.
Here’s to a strong.finishing round dufferole. Maybe a 29 on one of the nines?
That PPR number simply is not going to get it. Danielle Kang is averaging 28 putts per round to Amy’s 33 this week. Three rounds of that is 15 strokes of score difference. I don’t think the LPGA measures PPGIR or strokes gained through putting, which are better indicators, but the PPR needs to be at 30 or less regardless of how good the ball striking is. And from what I have seen, her ball striking is wonderful and as good as that of anybody else out there. Often it is just a tiny nuance concerning setup, grip, alinement, etc., or a well timed tip from a great putter who notices a tiny needed adjustment. She doesn’t have to be the best putter on tour to win tournaments. But she does need to be better than she has been this year in that stat it seems, which she no doubt knows better than anyone. I think that this article on Gary Woodland would be applicable to where Amy is now as well. Maybe even just what the doctor ordered. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/golf/201...prised-bygary/
Final round pairings have Amy going out with Minjee Lee and Sarah Schmelzel, another great pairing. Here is to “Smiling Assassin” Amy showing up for the final round! GoAmy...GoMinjee...GoSarah...GoBison!!!! Also GoKristenGillman! A sweet rookie who is making some real noise this week again!

Looking at some of the names that are double digits over par right now and really surprised by that. These players must
really be feeling like they’ve been shanghaied this week! One of them won in Dallas last week and another fell just short....Cheyenne Knight and Jaye Marie Green. Wow.
