Yes, Clemson was very good last year.

Alabama had a lot of impressive wins last year, and multiple recent championships.

A lot of adults are old enough to talk about when Notre Dame was good.

    Talk is cheap.

Pretty easy for people to remember when ND was good. Last season only ended about 6 months ago.

Since Holtz left after the 1996 season they have been 151-101 (59.9%). That isn't exactly setting the College football world on fire.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

They just went 12-1...last season. I'd say that's a pretty good year.

I dont think anyone claimed they are setting the world on fire.

Yes, they had a good year. The point is over the past 22 years they haven't been that good. Chubbs wasn't referring to one year, but when they were consistently good. They haven't been lately.

They've won 10+ games 3 of the last 4 years. Since Kelly has been there they generally are a pretty good team.

When Bob Davie, Tyrone Willingham, and Charlie Weis were there....different story no doubt. Dark days back then.

Nah- my point is they weren’t that good last year. Take a look at the schedule and who they beat. Got by Michigan when they were getting legs under them with some new key players.

Kinda like Jacksonville state talking crap till they get punched in the mouth.

Sagarin had Notre Dame finish 7 based largely on the Michigan win.

NDSU finished 19. If anything is preposterous it is the Golden Dome arrogance thinking they kick NDSU around.

They had the #13 strength of schedule in the country in 2018. That's not shabby. 8 of the 12 above them were SEC teams which collectively boost each other's SOS. The other 4 were Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, and Clemson. That's all pretty good company.

I've been on the field with both NDSU and Notre Dame. It is night and day. That doesn't mean NDSU couldn't beat them on any given day, but they are still an excellent program and have been solid for the past 4-5 years. Clemson and Alabama have made a lot of really good teams look average.

    Yeah same with ball state.

Strength of schedule upped quite a bit with how Michigan finished and playing Clemson

Notre Dame beat Michigan using a backup qb. Lmao.

They beat everyone on their schedule but Clemson. Not sure what point you are trying to prove here.
