Article on Zeb Noland’s transfer from Iowa State:

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/247spor...123968502/Amp/

After signing with Iowa State in 2016 as part of Campbell's first recruiting class, Noland started five games across the last two seasons, throwing for 1,255 yards and six touchdowns to two interceptions, including 722 yards (70-110) and four touchdowns in five games this season. Noland redshirted his first season in Ames after suffering a torn ACL and would have to sit out one season to play his final season unless he transfers to an FCS program or receives a waiver.
So looks like a QB with 2 years eligibility and can be here for spring ball.
Would guess Coach Entz, being from Waterloo IA, has contacts with the Iowa State staff......

I realize Oklahoma's defense isn't exactly world beaters but they are in the CFP and they do sign top 10 recruiting classes each year so they've got some players. Noland went 25-36 for 360 yards, 2 TDs, and an INT against them this year.

On the season he was 70-110 for 722 yards, 4 TDs, and that INT.

Sounds like Lewis is going to flip to K-State - which is not surprising.

Really don't hate that. Ideal situation give him two years starting, Lance two years starting, get one of the backups to switch positions. Those who stay will be champions.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Go to a better program without missing eligibility?

    Avoids Kliemans defense?

    Smart move

So we swapped out Lewis for Zeb? That’s it? I’ll take it. Thanks everyone. This is fun

Noland passed for 360 yards against Oklahoma; last time I looked, Okie is in the semifinals and playing Alabama. Me thinks we can accept a transfer here and there......competition at qb is a good thing.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hotchkiss or Sanders leave after spring ball if the writing is on the wall that Lance is the future QB. So it's a nice little insurance policy IMO.
I can't imagine the guy would transfer to NDSU knowing that he'll be the backup...thats why he transferred from Iowa St.....surely someone at NDSU told him he's got a great shot at being #1 and it's his job to lose, right?

Well if that's the case then good luck to him. Having a transfer from Iowa State does take a bit of the sting out of it I guess.
