Apparently the Forum's online editor doesn't know the difference between a picture of Matt Entz and a picture of Tyler Roehl...
Looks like the buyout is similar to what Klieman had; $300k prior to 2020 and $150k aftewards (a.k.a. peanuts for any major college program). I guess they view it as being friendly to coaches who they know are always looking onward and upward. Maybe it saves them a bit in annual salary and such.
Sports Illustrated has an interesting story about strength coaches in the April 6, 2019 issue titled, "Jacked Up."
Iowa pays their strength coach the most: $725,000. per year. Oregon pays theirs, Aaron Feld, $200,000. per year. Increasingly, strength coaches are the most important hire a head coach makes, partly because they can spend more time with players. In the off-season, the NCAA limits other coaches to two hours per week with players but strength coaches can have eight.
Here is the link to the Sports Illustrated story about Strength Coaches titled, "Jacked Up: Why Strength Coaches Are the Heart and Soul of Modern College Football." I will delete it if you feel this is not keeping to topic.
