2018 Coach Staff Update

Just a thought (very happy Blazek is coming here, not complaining) but why would he take presumably a LOT less money to coach the exact same position here?

He was set to make $350,000 this year at Rutgers https://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/i...assistant.html

He might be lucky to make half of that here.

Rutgers won 1 game last year. How much longer is their head coach under contract? Might see the writing on the wall as to what is coming and decided to move while he has decent options?

As Rugters was 1-11 last season and having massive coaching overhaul the past couple of years. He probably figures the Head Coach Chris Ash may not be around for much longer as this will be year 4 for him.

If I'm guessing from the background of these new guys is they have known ME for a long time. Both spent time at Winona State and/or W ILL. It might not be that NG is lacking in some way, just that ME has a prior relationship with them.

True, but he also has a relationship with Nick. Given their respective experience levels, the move just seems a bit odd. Trusting in Entz tho

Nick is also the recruiting coordinator. It is possible that he loves that job because if he was DC I would think he would not be able to also be recruiting coordinator and coach a position, would be spread a bit thin in that instance.
