KSU really does have a lot riding on this hiring though. if you look into the 2025 Big 12 contract thing being up and the conference getting split up by the other p5 conferences. There are a lot of people that think if they dont get it together they could be left out and stuck joining the Mac or Conference USA.... KU is saved by basketball... So I can kind of see why their fans are overreacting

Where in all of this do they say they will be retaining the assistants? Why would you hire a coach who has been successful running a certain system to come in and run another coaches system? Makes no sense.

Some, yes. Just sayin' Taylor didn't have 100% control. That isn't how this game is played. Taylor had to use a lot of leverage to get what he did. No way they just said do what you think is best.
