ECU > KSU?
I remember that 1 year that JMU was relevant. Good times.

You can try to dismiss this all you want but late on Sunday, ALL of these guys started following Les Miles on Twitter.

This is strictly my opinion with few facts to base it upon. It appears that CK’s hiring was at least semi-controversial at KSU. The FCS label bothered a lot of boosters. Some KSU folks did not want to be outdone by Kansas’s hiring Les Miles. There is a good possibility that CK got over the hump by agreeing to bring a limited number of assistants with him and keep some core KSU staff in place. Bill Snyder’s fingerprints are all over this deal.

Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

I agree with this. My take is that the UNT coach declined the offer because he couldn't bring his staff so there may be quite a few limitations to how many assistants Klieman can bring. In a way wouldn't it be wise for CK to keep a large bulk of the KSU staff intact to help with recruiting the schools/kids that they already had committed with the early signing period right around the corner? Otherwise he may have to start from scratch in an area that isn't exactly NDSU's footprint and unfamiliar with. I think that wouldn't be a wise start to the job going into the 2019 season.
