Would be a much better option for situations like these. Sure you might lose some recruits still if they ask for a release from the LOI and the schools grants it (as they should) but it would at least allow schools some time here in December to make decisions if a good chunk of the recruiting class is already signed.

I just don't understand the way coaches chase after "better jobs." Whoever goes to the Little Apple will have an incredibly difficult time of having to operating in the shadow of Snyder. How do you ever make that job your own?
I see this choice as:
1. 20 years in Fargo with you guys and be the most successful college football coach ever.
2. 5 years in Manhattan until he gets fired essentially for not being Bill Snyder.
He would be smarter to let the next guy at K-State try and fail and then swoop in for the job.

Right...I’m sure the massive influx of 4/5 star kids he started following , specifically from the state of Kansas were seen as legitimate targets.
Why do you think our Director of Football Operations started following a massive amount of Kansas kids, at one point started following a K State coach, was following Kansas sports writers and then started unfollowing them after this got posted?
Look, maybe I’m wrong, but this was EXTREMELY telling to me. At a minimum, he was “getting ready” for the prospects of a new job.
