Van Maanen loses 7-3. Had a couple near miss takedowns that would've given him the lead late, but got over aggressive and got semi-tossed

Knutson got a win and De La Riva lost.

McNutt is up now and Eaton is on deck.

McNutt, Eaton, and Metz all lost. Metz lost by fall and Eaton ran into the favorite to win the NCAA title

Sutton is eliminatd after losing. After showing really good defense vs Red, he had some terrible shot defense in this one.

Van Maanen stays alive with a pin.

De La Riva wins by tech fall.

Metz wins with a convincing 6-2 win.

Brent Fleetwood knocks off Louie Hayes, who is ranked #6 in the country, behind a takedown with 15 seconds left!

That's a huge win and could be a big help for NCAA seeding down the road.

    Cam up now

Sykora loses 6-2. Still no tilts for Cam, but he did get a takedown in the third

Our coaches seemed pretty impressed with Virginia Tech at the end of Knutson's match.

Fleetwood is in the quarterfinals against former NCAA runner up Zeke Moisey.
Sykora won again, so he remains alive.
    Sutton is eliminated
Van Maanen just lost again, so he is done.
Knutson just lost a good match against BC Laprade of VaTech, so he is done.
De La Riva lost a close one against Wyoming to get eliminated.
McNutt went 0-2 and struggled mightily.
Eaton is up soon vs Zack Chakonis of Northwestern, who is still ranked in the top 20, but Cordell beat in the season opening dual.
Metz is up soon vs the Stanford HWT. He can and should win this one IMO.

Hopefully Eaton and Metz end this round with wins, otherwise tomorrow is going to be a very slow day for NDSU wrestling.
